The 17th biannual "world meeting" of 1/1250 scale collectors will be held in May, 2015 at the Philipp-Scheidemann-Haus on Holländische Straße No. 74 opposite the central cemetery at Kassel, Germany. Further details to be announced.

This is primarily a buying/selling event. You enter the main hall on the second floor, where you'll find all the major dealers and producers at their tables with their latest model releases and maybe a few "sondermodelle" produced in limited quantities for the occasion. This is the time to buy the newest models, ask your questions, and maybe lobby for a favorite ship that has not yet been produced. Off of the main hall there are a number of smaller rooms where individual collectors can be found selling second-hand models. Here is where to find the long sought-after missing links in your collection. Prices are reasonable, but be prepared to spend some time examining the offerings, and bring plenty of CASH! Credit cards are accepted only by two or three of the biggest commercial dealers there, so don't get caught short!

Sellers begin arriving around 8:00 AM and the public is admitted at 10:00. There is a small admission charge of 2.50 Euros. The event usually wraps up around 4:00 PM, but some of the sellers may start packing up a bit earlier if business begins to slow down.

Waldhotel Schäferberg, Wilhelmsthaler Str. 14, D-34314 Espenau, phone ++49 - 5673 - 9960 is the meeting point for those attending the Kassel show. Most collectors stay there, and many attend the dinner held the evening before the show. If you call, use the word "Sammlertreffen" and you can make reservations at a special rate.

Rail connections:
ICE high-speed train to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe station (11 km from hotel)
Mönchehof station (approx. (1,5 km from hotel, 20 min. on foot, 5 min. with bus no. 47)
By car: Take the B 7 / B 83 North / North-West from Kassel to Vellmar, Schäferberg, Hofgeismar.
This dual carriageway takes you away from Kassel. Approx. 5 km past Kassel you will find the access road to the hotel on the right, immediately after the turn to ‘Espenau’.
